The Project ICT Innovations for the Masquerade Sector in Trinidad and Tobago was selected for financing by the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) through a competitive call for proposals under the MIF’s ICT4BUS Program. This project, which emanated from the National Carnival Development Foundation (NCDF) Strategic Action Plan for the Transformation of Carnival (Masquerade component) into an Industry, was developed and presented to the Inter American Development Bank Multilateral Investment Fund (IDB-MIF) by the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Service Industries (TTCSI). The project was selected as being highly innovative following a rigorously competitive process where it received over 400 proposals from 21 countries. It was the first project originating in the Caribbean to be selected for funding in this highly competitive program since its inception.
The launch of the project is scheduled for October 28th 2010. More information will be provided shortly.
