The Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries is seeking to recruit Dynamic and Motivated Individuals to fill the posts of:
Development Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct sector surveys;
- Assist in the development and implementation of export promotion activities;
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals;
- Conduct research as directed by Senior Staff;
- Work with members to develop sector standards;
- Assist with existing and new sector development;
- Contribute to policy;
- Contribute to the development of revenue generating activities;
- Identify sectors which require organisation and assist with the development of new sector organisations;
- Represent the Coalition at various meetings;
- Any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, International Relations, Development Studies, Politics, Government, Economics or a related discipline from a recognised University
- Project Management and Experience
- Knowledge of the services sector
- Experience conducting research and preparation of project proposals will be considered as asset
- A Masters Degree will be considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication sills, both oral and written
- A creative and innovative mindset
- Initiative and the ability to work both independently and in teams
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Research Assistant
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the analysis of policy documents;
- Conduct background research to assist with the preparation of policy positions;
- Assist with sector surveys and analysis;
- Compile reports;
- Prepare presentations;
- Attend meetings to represent the interests and views of the Coalition;
- Assist in the execution of projects;
- Write articles and/or position papers;
- Respond to the strategic and relevant needs of the members in providing statistics and/or information;
- Any other duties and responsibilities which my be assigned;
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, International Trade or a related discipline from a recognised University
- Experience in research methods and presentation
- Knowledge of the services sector
- Experience in preparation of project proposals will be considered an asset
- A Masters Degree will be considered an asset
