The Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries is seeking to recruit Dynamic and Motivated Individuals to fill the posts of:

Development Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct sector surveys;
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of export promotion activities;
  3. Assist in the preparation of project proposals;
  4. Conduct research as directed by Senior Staff;
  5. Work with members to develop sector standards;
  6. Assist with existing and new sector development;
  7. Contribute to policy;
  8. Contribute to the development of revenue generating activities;
  9. Identify sectors which require organisation and assist with the development of new sector organisations;
  10. Represent the Coalition at various meetings;
  11. Any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, International Relations, Development Studies, Politics, Government, Economics or a related discipline from a recognised University
  • Project Management and Experience
  • Knowledge of the services sector
  • Experience conducting research and preparation of project proposals will be considered as asset
  • A Masters Degree will be considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication sills, both oral and written
  • A creative and innovative mindset
  • Initiative and the ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Research Assistant

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research on the analysis of policy documents;
  2. Conduct background research to assist with the preparation of policy positions;
  3. Assist with sector surveys and analysis;
  4. Compile reports;
  5. Prepare presentations;
  6. Attend meetings to represent the interests and views of the Coalition;
  7. Assist in the execution of projects;
  8. Write articles and/or position papers;
  9. Respond to the strategic and relevant needs of the members in providing statistics and/or information;
  10. Any other duties and responsibilities which my be assigned;

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics, International Trade or a related discipline from a recognised University
  • Experience in research methods and presentation
  • Knowledge of the services sector
  • Experience in preparation of project proposals will be considered an asset
  • A Masters Degree will be considered an asset
