The Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries is seeking to recruit Dynamic and Motivated Individuals to fill the posts of:
Development Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of export promotion activities;
- Identify funding sources and develop project proposals;
- Conduct research as directed by Senior Staff;
- Work with members to develop sector standards;
- Assist with existing and new sector development;
- Contribute to policy;
- Contribute to the development of revenue generating activities;
- Identify sectors which require organization and assist with the development of new sector organizations;
- Represent the Coalition at various meetings;
- Any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned;
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, International Relations, Development Studies, Politics, Government, Economics or a related discipline from a recognized University
- Project Management Experience
- Knowledge of the services sector
- Experience conducting research and preparation of project proposals will be considered an asset
- A Masters Degree will be considered an asset
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- A creative and innovative mindset
- Initiative and the ability to work both independently and in teams
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Research Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct sector surveys;
- Conduct research on and analysis of policy documents;
- Conduct background research to assist with the preparation of policy positions;
- Identify funding sources and develop project proposals;
- Compile reports;
- Prepare presentations;
- Attend meetings to represent the interests and views of the Coalition;
- Assist in the execution of projects;
- Assist with preparation of speeches;
- Write articles and/or position papers;
- Respond to the strategic and relevant needs of the members in providing statistics and/or information;
- Contribute to the development of revenue generating activities;
- Any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned;
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, International Trade or a related discipline from a recognized University
- Experience in research methods and presentation
- Knowledge of the services sector
- Experience in preparation of project proposals will be considered an asset
- A Masters Degree will be considered an asset

Project Assistant
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and other support for project implementation and management.
The Project Assistant shall:
- Review and manage updates to all documentation relating to the project, and be informed in particular on the Program Operation Manual, the technical Cooperation Contract, the Procurement Plan, Annual Operative Plan, and the initial Disbursement Projection Table. The Administrative Assistant shall undertake his/her work on the project in accordance with the Program Operation Manual and as directed by the Project Co-ordinator.
- Assist in the preparation and updates of Annual Operating Plans, Annual Program Budgets and Procurement Plans (including counterpart contribution).
- Define and implement a functional reference and filing system.
- Be responsible for coordinating access to Project files and the overall security of the files and filing system.
- Assist the Project Co-ordinator to manage communications with project stakeholders and beneficiaries
- Assist Project Co-ordinator to organize and manage meetings and forums involving beneficiaries, stakeholders, project steering committee meetings including logistics, minutes etc
- Assist in tracking and collating results
- Assist Project Co-ordinator in managing procurement of goods and services
- Assist with project accounting
- Assist with other duties as required within the TTCSI.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties for the Project.
Qualifications:
The Project Assistant shall have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management or Business Administration or an equivalent recognized qualification in a closely related subject. The Project Assistant shall have at least three years relevant experience in administrative work. Candidates who do not meet these qualifications but posses a relevant combination of skills and experience may be considered.. The Project Assistant must have exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
